The Eiffel Tower was designed and built in Paris by engineer Gustave Eiffel and opened to the public
in 1889... the wrought iron tower was the tallest man-made structure in the world from 1889-1930
(when the Empire State Building was constructed in New York City)... a one-half scale replica of the
Eiffel Tower opened at the Paris Las Vegas Resort Casino in 1999.
