Circus Circus LV awarded "Prize Unit" chips to winners of games on the 2nd floor Midway. (Not currently, but for quite a few years, I think.) Here's what one looks like --

There's a number of variations, mostly hot-stamped, but some inlays too.
My assumption is that the 1 and 5-prize unit chips were awarded to players by the game operators. The player then took the chip(s) to a redemption booth for various levels of prizes.
My question is this:
There's also a 20-Prize Unit chip and a 100-Prize Unit chip. How were these used? To "color up" a lucky winner on occasion, or strictly as Game Operator- to- Redemption Booth transactions? (That is, these bigger unit chips did not circulate to players.)
Any "Prize Unit" chip experts out there who know ... or who want to guess?
Thanks in advance!
Oh ... also, I'm going to our local County Fair this week. I'll look for the "Circle Game" on the Midway, though I'd be very surprised to find it! I hear that the operator went on to bigger things about 80 years ago!
