ChipGuide Submitters,

An additional field has been added to the ChipGuide submission form at the request of the ChipGuide administrators. COLOR is the new field and it is a required field. Note that one of the color options is NOT NEEDED, for items where color is not important, like TITO's. The color field is the one that we get wrong most often, because it is, sometimes, not possible to be accurate determining the color from the submitted scans. A really dark color could be black, brown, blue or purple and sometimes we cannot tell which one it is. Color rendition depends on so many different factors: technology used to capture the image, the surface of the chip (reflectivity), technology used to display the chip, and image lighting. We want to get colors right the first time, so we appreciate your cooperation in taking a few extra seconds to identify the colors for us. Here is the link to the submission form:
