According to today's front page story in the Press of Atlantic City .... "Atantic City's gaming halls report their second highest grossing month ever .... $426.9 million in August .... an increase of 5.3% over the same period last year!"

"That amount trails only July 2000, when the casinos won $429.3 million, in the industry's ranking of highest-grossing months."
