Warnock's Dilemma???

Warnock's Dilemma: The state of not knowing if the lack of response to a posting on a discussion list is due to the idea's high quality (i.e. the silence means there's nothing to add) or due to the idea's low quality (i.e. it's so dumb, list participants find it beneath response.) Named after Brian Warnock, who first described the condition on a Perl e-list.
