Rich, I spent many hours playing the old Pace machines at Harolds. I remember that 2nd floor
room with the gun collection. The Silver Dollar showroom was up there too. My best memory
was watching Louis Armstrong in the 7th floor Funroom. Fun times. The Truckee Riverwalk was
originally named for Pappy Smith and there was a bust of him there but it was later changed.
The bust may still be there, I don't remember. Harold and Pappy both ran the club but with
different management styles. One would fire you and the other would hire you back. It was
a crazy place. The book is an interesting read.
