Ethically, using very old rarity ratings that you

know are invalid because you have more than were thought to have existed is wrong. It's pretty simple. It is arguably fraudulent, but I wouldn't go that far for most chip sales. Not worth it. Personally, I wouldn't cite to a very old and out of date price guide without stating in the description that I am citing an old and out of date guide book.

All that being said, it is pretty common and I just ignore anything citing to Campiglia & Wells (or to any price guide for Caribbean chips). Too much has changed since the last edition.
