On Friday evening I went for a walk around the block. In front of the schoolhouse, I found a wad of bills - $9 total. Also some pennies. I've found chips before, usually near a casino (well, duhhhh) but sometimes not - on my way to work from parking my truck, etc. Found several hundred dollar bills before - all were fake except for one in front of a run-down house in Sun Valley - real! Methinks it was either a landlord who collected the rent or (more likely) a drug deal gone sketchy, where the dealer had to high-tail it out of there.
But the highest value chip I ever found was a $10 NCV from the Normandie, in front of the Hustler. It's in my collection. The usual set of bums who also search for cast-off chips likely saw that No Cash Value and let it be.
You got lucky, John!
