The Nevada Historical Society in Reno hosted the 2019 Chip Dig on Saturday, May 4th. The NorCal chip club had a trade session at the Dig and a number of gaming collectibles dealers participated. The Nevada Historical Society is home to the American Gaming Archives that has a large collection of gambling records and gambling artifacts from the U. S. and the Caribbean. The Chip Dig was originally hosted by Gaming Archaeology in Minden at Sharkey's and later at the Carson Valley Inn. Since 2014, the "Dig" has been held at the NHS museum in Reno and provides a show termed the "Biggest Little Chip Show" in Reno. Local residents are encouraged to bring gaming collectibles to the show for appraisal, sale and trade.
