I have come across this attitude in overseas casinos that actually have signs posted that chips may not leave the casino. I merely change tables a couple of times and spread the palmed chips out among several pockets. Once, while staying in the casino’s hotel in Madagascar, my room safe malfunctioned and I was in the embarrassing position of getting the hotel maintenance man to open the safe for me with two stacks of chips in it. Predictably, however, nothing came of it.
