the casino, which it allows players to use to gamble. Technically, you never own the chips you use in a US casino. Most casinos have no issue with you taking them with you, for obvious reasons. Some do, and they have the legal right to prevent you from taking them off of the premises. It just depends on whether they want them to stay there. Some places with small chip inventories do not like chips walking. Why this casino has a problem with it is anybody's guess. I know there are casinos in the Caribbean where it is very hard to sneak chips out, and not for the reasons you suggest. It's just one of those things I have learned by reading this board for so many years.
