Yesterday I went up to the new Harrah's casino in Ione, first impression was BAD and it got worse. There was only 2 21 tables open and after waiting I got a seat, purchased $100 in chips and played 3 hands and lost, got up and was putting the chips in my pocket when the dealer told me I had to chip up, I told him I was coming back and walked to the Men's room. I decided I would take the chips to my car and return and then things got BAD. Has I started out the door a guy in a Suit and a name badge stopped me and said I couldn't leave the casino with Chips and that I had to cash them in, I told him I was just going to me car and would return, he said Cash the Chips In as they couldn't leave the Casino. We had a few more words and I was then walked to the Cashiers Cage and handed over the chips, I told the guy I didn't understand why I couldn't leave with the Chips and he told me the chips were Casino property and couldn't be removed from the Casino.
I left and went up to Jackson Rancheria for lunch and went back to Harrah's and again bought some chips and after a few hands got up and left, different table dealer told me to Chip up and again I walked off, this time the same guy in the Suit stopped me and walked me to the cashier, and after having to cash the chips in he asked for and took my New Players Card and told me I wasn't welcome back at the Casino.
This was the first time I tried taking more then a couple chips home and was wondering if what the Guy told me is True! I would think a casino would be happy if chips left and didn't come back since they can't cost that much to make and it is profit for them. Is my thinking wrong?
Anyway I an sorry I couldn't supply what I told people I was going to get. And I will not be going back to the Casino.
