It's quite obvious how uninformed some are in our hobby regarding authenticity... and one can easily see why some who are either new to the hobby or thinking of getting involved lose interest without really knowing what are fake or real casino chips.

In my opinion; the hobby needs to re[better]define some terms as "sample" or "prototype" chips... especially in descriptions including the term sample... and our club needs to widely-broadcast the ChipGuide far, far beyond our hobby. There is nothing that even comes close to ChipGuide online and it is hardly utilized... and that fact is seen right here on this forum before our eyes.
