Cactus... derived from a Greek word used to describe any sort of spiny plant... the cactus is
a member of the plant family Cactaceae which contains around 1750 different species... the
cactus usually pictured in chip artwork is the giant Saguaro cactus which can grow to over
40 feet in height... the saguaro is native to Arizona, southern California, and northern Mexico.
