agreed to see me a couple of the old blue $4 Drop Chips, CG # 027897. They were badly worn and perhaps were being taken out of service; as I spotted some newer $4 chips of a different design at a table. When I returned to The Oaks, maybe a year later, I again asked if I could buy any $4 chips and a new, stony-faced clerk said Impossible! We never sell $4 chips! I don't think they sell the $3's either now. But of course, anyone who's ever tried harvesting chips from the casino cashiers or table dealers has the same story to tell, just with different chips as the subject.
