That link had way too much information for me to digest! But if it's phone companies you want, Nevada had phone companies....

1955 Bell Telephone Company
Ahead of the Las Vegas Listings:
"Southern Nevada Telephone Co."
"These new Las Vegas numbers are effective August 15, 1955"

I checked a couple of other state-wide books and they do include the Southern Nevada Telephone Co notation, but they don't have effective dates...so I'm thinking that DUdley probably started on August 15, 1955

In 1956 Somebody put a note on this Bell Telephone Book
"Save...Last State Directory"
