the photo showing all that snow is earlier. The service station in the snowy background reads STANDARD OIL but in the second, warmer-weather photo, it's now selling CHEVRON with a blue topped sign. That new signage and CHEVRON name began around 1959. See the Chevron in Syracuse, NY:

For us oil historians, service station signs are like casino chips, marking a certain time period.
