that the new facility WOULD offer a buffet as well as one or more conventional sit-down restaurants. That didn't happen for whatever reason. Sizzler on Florida Avenue in Hemet?! Only such restaurant I know of in the area.
Maine is (or was) the U.S. headquarters for Game-On, unless they moved, but it's entirely possible that the chips were fabricated in China. They have slightly recessed inlays (like those used at the Marina Club) which will protect the inlay design for some time but the outer rings with their intricate design-work will start to get scuffed up quickly. Ha-ha, I wonder who had to pay the TARIFF to get those puppies into the USA? Oh, wait, I know. It's US, who feed money into the slot machines and get just twinkling lights in return.
No offense to the Soboba table dealers, but the folks dealing cards last night were waaaaayy too upbeat and smiling to have been around the old casino for long. They were even smiling when I said I was buying some chips as souvenirs (usually the "kiss of death" at California casinos). Playersoft training or personnel too:
Oh - I don't think anyone mentioned this: they have new roulette chips too. I didn't play or try to harvest any. There must be a limit to how many smiles the personnel can keep on their faces.
Guess Poker Rooms don't bring in the desired revenue these days? It's off to Morongo for you!!!
One last t'ing, as Lt. Colombo himself would have said: last night was NOT the Grand Opening, or so I was told at the Player's Club desk. That festive event is yet to happen.
