Wow, lots of history there that I can't answer. My business partner for 43 years (Stan Lukowicz) and I own the National Hotel. Was build in the 1860's, look on the net and you will see it on a live web camera. Our involvement only goes back 6 years. But Jackson history has been my whole life, still have a office on main street. The hotel has had many different owners, a number of them running poker games in the bar with 1-2 tables. None lasting more then a year or two. Do think Larry Eastman rented the tables for a few years. Before I was of age, they from time to time had quite large games. John Wayne played many a nights when they were filming a movie out side of town. He stayed on the 3rd floor northwest corner, the room still has the furniture that he used and is rented out as the John Wayne suite. Five presidents have stayed there in the early years, when Jackson was wide open. Gov'er Brown the senior closed the town down back in 1958. At that time we had 8 casino's on main street and near 100 working girls. Wish I could tell you more about the chips, I have the same chips in my collection but no dates. I was first elected in 1972 and remained in office till 1988 when I choose not to run for reelection. The Roulette and Crap table in my collection came out of the Pioneer Rex in Jackson.  Mike Spinetti
