David -
Welcome to the board. A few thoughts for you:
* I don't see any single chip that stands out to me as being really valuable on it's own.
* You have a broad mix of chips from here and there with no real focus on one area.
* Most of these chips are relatively modern and common, and most of the buyers for these already have them.
* I would price many of these at $2.00 to $3.00 each on the retail side on today's market if sold on this site. I wouldn't think that they would have much value on ebay, and fees, rules, etc., make that not worth while.
Based on this, my though is that as a lot these are worth $450 to $600. However, I am not sure who the buyer is for the entire group, as the person who wants one portion will not likely want the rest.
I would break these up into smaller groups, by type, and I think that you would do a little better overall. My guess is that your first reaction will be "But we paid more than than for them." I understand, and honestly, the chip market has not fared well for over a decade, and many people on this site are in the same position that you are.
I wish you the best, and I would probably be a buyer for the European jetons.
Regards,
John
