Rich, Lovelock was one of my favorite towns when I was looking for chips. I'd always stop
and talk with Felix at his club. He always told me the story about how his father was killed
in a fight at his sister's wedding reception at the Riverside Hotel in Reno. Unfortunately Felix's
is long gone. It was a neat place. Also Sturgeon's is now called the C-Punch after the new
owners ranch. Weird name. Occasionally I would stop and eat at the Sun Cafe. The owner
told me he was friends with Hoot Gibson. He had some of his D4C chips in a case by the
cash register. Also I used to stop at Brenda's Cafe just to play the slots. Both places are
long gone. Two Stiff's has been there forever. The owner's name was actually Stiff. Father
and son I think. Not much left in Lovelock anymore.
