Thanks Everyone. We do usually stay on the Strip (Paris usually, but have stayed at Monte Carlo and Bellagio) but for the 2nd week we are there the room rates are sky high apparently due to the WSOP so we thought we would try the South Point for a few days as I have generally heard good things from everyone who has stayed there for the convention.

I do kind of like a view if there is one (i.e. tower view when at Paris) but I'm not too bothered and they didn't actually state what the difference was for the extra view rooms. The only other reason I like a higher room is less noise (at the Paris the bottom 5 or 6 floors hear the music from the evening pool parties and I am a light sleeper ) but not sure if that would be an issue at the South Point.

Always good though to get advice from those that have already visited.
