Beginning Monday, October 1, 2018, an array of brightly colored new chips will be introduced to the Casino 1 (smoking) floor. And, with them, two new denominations will go into play.
Once the change occurs, Muckleshoot Casino guests will have two months to redeem any current Casino 1 chips of any and all denominations ($1, $5, $25, $100 and $500.) We’ll need to phase out the current chips which, at that point, will become the old chips.
When the new chips are introduced, the final deadline to redeem old-style Casino 1 chips will be Thursday, November 29 at 11:59 p.m. The photo below shows the the style being phased out in the top row. A sneak peek of the new chip design can be viewed directly below them.
The updated chips will include new $2 and $3 denominations.
The notches seen in the pictured chips simply mean they’re samples. These chips are so new, even we don’t have them just yet. The real chips will be fully circular, just like normal, when they’re introduced on October 1.
