Value is a very subjective subject and anyone who walks the floor at the chip show will see the same chips with a wide variety of pricing.

Not trying to defend anything here as I have only heard one side but many times I have made offers of significantly less on chips than I believe them to be “worth” because that was all I personally was willing to pay. Sometimes I get the chip, sometimes I don’t.

It’s always best when both sides feel good about a deal.

It could be that Jerry had no idea they could be worth that much as there is no true priceguide for chips like these.

Just imagine what the person who sold them to you feels about you making several hundred dollars on your purchase.

Again, not trying to make excuses, just giving another perspective.
