Pam, that Stockmen's Hotel has always been one of my favorite pieces. I found one at a
swap meet over forty years ago. Notice it is dated 1948. I've heard they were given with
certain jackpots. Stockmen's had five of the one arm bandits that were featured in Life
Magazine. They were carved by Frank Polk at the Character Manufacturing Co. in Reno.
I believe they were destroyed when the Stockmen's burned. Frank's book is worth reading.
He normally stuttered but when he was drunk (which was often) he didn't!
