There once was a Club Sullivan in San Mateo
In Response To: chip ID Jay? ()

It had a gaming license, and was also known as The Second Avenue Card Room. A fleeting reference in Cashcoinconnection:

CLUB SULLIVAN
418 SECOND AVENUE
46 SECOND AVENUE
SAN MATEO, CA
NO OTHER INFORMATION

My two CHS chips are in red and yellow (oh, maybe "mustard") and both are quite worn, no gold on the hot-stamping remains. Home or casino, they saw a LOT of use somewhere. Richard, if your CHS chips are in pristine condition, maybe they were unused "leftovers" after the cardroom closed - assuming that was the same place.

Don't remember where I got mine, if not a trade with Jay, then at a Convention or Casinorama event, possibly Spinetti's big mystery box. Or any other box I had my hands in.

Not much "proof" here but maybe something for future research.
