A part of the Barker Hotel is now called the "Boxing Donkey" - a Irish Pub style place with good food and a nice craft beer offerings. There are two other old card clubs within a block or so of the place - the "Owl Club" and the "Onyx". The West House is just across the tracks in the newer part of Old Roseville. There are couple of other lively nite spots in the area as well. Too bad they banned card rooms in Roseville. Of course it is only about 6 miles up to Thunder Valley where they have a very large card room and about the same distance the other way to the Stone's Casino & Saloon. I'll have to keep my eyes out for those chips...
