The two clubs were just a couple of blocks apart in downtown Sacramento. Joe's was at 503 'K' Street and the Equipoise was at 1126 7th Street. All within walking distance of the old Greyhound Depot - not the best part of town. The Equipoise was a real old time establishment 1933-1974. Joe's Club lasted from 1955 - 1961.
