In my opinion, Sheldon & Christine Smith (onenevadadollar on eBay) do reserves on their auctions the right way -- they actually list in the body of the auction what the reserve is. But I won't bid on most "reserve" auctions. I am a seller on and more often than not, there will be a couple of bidders that will just go back & forth on an item until the very end. Sometimes, the final closing price is more than the "Buy-it-Now" price of a similar item. Just my thoughts as both an buyer and seller.
