My first trip in 1976

I rode out with a couple good friends. We stayed at the home of one of my friend's college buddies, who worked in the credit department at Caesars Palace. We also hung out with two of his other college buddies, one who was a dealer at the Golden Gate and one who was a bellman at the Landmark. I went with a huge bankroll of $160. I had lost it all by early in the second day. The third and final night we were there, one of my friends bought me 2 rolls of nickels and told me to make those last in a nickel slot section at the Stardust while they went to see Jubilee. When they came back, I had turned the original $4 in nickels into $15 in nickels. They wanted to shoot craps so I went with them. I stood next to one of my buddies at the table, just watching until the dice were passed to me. I told my buddy that I was going to make 5 passes in a row, and he should bet along with me. I bought in with a $5 chip and put it on the pass line. I won the first roll, and pressed it. I kept winning and kept pressing it until my pass line bet was $80. I won that roll too (my 5th pass in a row). I passed the dice and cashed out for $160. That sure was fun! I've been hooked on Las Vegas ever since!
