I use to take 3 trips a yr and always stayed atleast 7-10 nights each time.
We use to rent a car and do day trips all around surrounding areas and swing in and out of every casino along the way gathering chips.
In the past 4 yrs I’ve only gone 2 time and I didn’t have the slightest sense to want to drive around so we stayed in Las Vegas both trips for 8 nights..... after 3 nights on both trips I would have rather been walking around a major city or Disney.
I think it’s a combo of things.
1. Any chip you want is a click away where yrs ago it wasn’t so easy to get nice new crisp chips.
2. I’m now 49 and have other priorities.
3. Been there done that a lot.
4. So Dang far away from NY. I don’t have the patience to deal with boiling or freezing for 5 1/2 hrs on a plane.
5. Very congested.
6. Don’t have much drive in me to gamble
7. Winning 3k don’t change anything loosing 3k is just annoying.
8. Find way more enjoyment visiting foxwoods and Mohegan sun in Ct
I can get my 2 bedroom suite wed and Thursday for $149 a night and Friday is $299
Vegas I pay double.
