The guy asked me if I was sitting down (i was); asked me to guess what I had just won on PCH's contest (I passed); he said $500,000; asked a few questions then said he was transferring me to the company lawyer for details. A woman came on, introduced herself as an associate with a named Dallas law firm, but when I said I was familiar with the firms and didn't recognize it, she hung up....and would you believe it I have not received the $500,000 But the following week I finally got the "IRS" call that's been going around and when i was I was in arrears and owed big money and fines, I told them I was a former federal attorney and could I have the p.o. address---and the guy hung up. I get a call weekly from someone with amid-eastern accent who says he fixed my computer and that his company was going out of business and would refund $299 balance on my computer contract. when I suggested that he was a scammer, he hung up. But whats not so funny is that some one probably falls for these scams.
