Yesterday I returned to the ANA Convention in Philadelphia to take down my Exhibit of Atlantic City Tokens and to find out if I had earned any Awards for my Display. Over the years, I have put in a lot of time and effort and expense to travel to various ANA Conventions and Exhibit portions of my Casino Related collections for other collectors and visitors to view.
I enjoy displaying these Exhibits and I was once again rewarded for my efforts by winning the First Place prize in the Casino Chip and Gaming Token category. This is now the 6th time that I have won the First Prize award for my ANA Exhibits of Casino Chips and Tokens.
I was able to talk to several Convention attendees on Saturday afternoon as they viewed my Exhibit. It was gratifying to receive some very nice comments and answer questions about my Exhibit.
I think it is important to have our Hobby is represented at the ANA Conventions and to let people see what we collect and maybe get them interested in collecting Casino related memorabilia.
Show below are items concerning my Exhibit at this year's ANA Convention including a Judge's Rating Sheet for my Exhibit. As you can see, the Judges use very strict rules and regulations in evaluating all Exhibits and you must achieve a score high enough to win the various Awards in your category. Even though you may have the only Exhibit in your category you may not win an Award unless you get a high enough score from all 3 Judges.
Take care,
Jerry
