I've received several requests for additional information on the Taj millennium medallion, so I'm posting the following information in anticipation that others may have similar questions about this medallion.

Yes, the Taj millennium token is from the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City. They were given out as prizes in a drive-in promo contest well over a year ago. The prizes which ranged from a key chain to this millennium medallion, to a hat or a tee-shirt, to show tix, to complimentary admission certificates to the Bengal Lounge (a high-rollers lounge next to Hard Rock Cafe) were in sealed pop-top canisters. One never knew what was inside the can until it was opened by the winner(s).
