In fact, one of the two chips previously mentioned (Golden Nugget, Laughlin) is listed in The Chip Rack as a 4th of July chip even though it doesn't have that designation on the chip. The other chip (Showboat) so closely matches the 4th of July chips from that year that I would think it was intended to commemorate that holiday.
