I was going thru some items from the large Resorts collection I bought last year and found some very unusual and maybe "Rare" Resorts chip varieties.
The chips in question come from the 20 and 25 year commemorative NCV chip sets that Resorts issued to celebrate the milestones.
I found 3 chips that are clearly different than the regular issues of these commemorative NCV Chips.
The 3 chips in question were clearly produced with "rounded" edges and they are all much thinner than the normal issue chips. See the "on edge" scans of the 3 chips side by side with the normal chips.
I would like to know if anyone else has seen any of these chips ?? Also what is the difference in the production process of making a "square" edge chip and a "round" edge chip ??
I always enjoy finding these variations of chips and wonder - How and Why they were made ?? Was there an entire set of these thin "round" edge produced ?? Or are these chips unique ??
Please LMK your thoughts.
Take care,
Jerry "Love to Find Something Unusual" Birl
PS The chip with the Yellow inlay is probably just from exposure - we see these on a regular basis but I included it in the scans.
