Just get it....you may never see another. It appears to be gently used.
I don’t think the seller will go down on price much because all of us “chippers” have viewed this hat and now they think it is a more desirable piece.

You can do 2 things to justify buying it. You can sell something of equal value and consider it a trade in your collection or you can just buy it now and when post a picture of the hat in your collection......
