Impossible Task

Starting with ... there is no generally accepted definition of what constitutes a "Fake" casino chip. In the early days of eBay I tried to point out the fakes, many of which were being sold by CCGTCC members. I was met with a very lukewarm reception and eventually gave up on it. I remember a club member selling "recently discovered Las Vegas casino chips", that he had made up himself. I believe it was for a Desert Sands casino. Those who knew they were fake, knew to avoid them, the rest didn't care.

BTW ... today, you can go into an antiques store in Las Vegas, owned by a club member, and see loads of fakes, that are made to look like real chips from closed Las Vegas casinos, for sale with no indication that they are not real.
