I REMEMBER WHEN I FIRST RELOCATED TO LAS VEGAS AROUND 1995 ... I MET JIM GELLETT AN OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO'S WIFE WAS A DANCER / PERFORMER HERE IN LAS VEGAS AT SOME OF THE STRIP HOTELS. JIM HAD A LARGE STORAGE UNIT ON BOULDER HIGHWAY FULL OF OLD CASINO HOTEL TREASURES. HE WOULD HOLD COURT AT CARL'S JR. HAMBURGERS ON E. CHARLESTON BLVD. & FREMONT ST. ALMOST EVERY SATURDAY .... HE WOULD BRING INTERESTING ITEMS FOR SALE FROM A FAMOUS CASINO OR A SHORT LIVED ONE. HE SET THE PRICE AND IT WAS FIRM ... NO DICKERING ... AND NO ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW MANY OF THESE CHIPS HE HAD ETC. JIM KNEW HE HAD GOOD STUFF AND FAIR PRICES, BUT NO KILLER DEALS ... IT DID NOT MATTER HOW MANY CHIPS YOU BOUGHT THE PRICE WAS THE SAME. JIM WAS VERY SECRETIVE ABOUT HIS SALES AND INVENTORY ... YOU HAD TO BE A CLOSE ASSOCIATE TO GO TO HIS STORAGE UNIT ... TOP SECRET! ... JIM WENT AROUND TO THE LOCAL LAS VEGAS COLLECTIBLE DEALERS AND SUPPLIED THEM WITH ITEMS HE HAD QUANTITIES OF .... JIM PASSED AWAY AND HIS NEPHEW HAS BEEN SELLING HIS STUFF ON EBAY FOR YEAR'S ... YOUR MEMORIES & COMMENTS ABOUT JIM ARE MOST WELCOME ... THANKS RICH
