I don't know about other small time gamblers but I have never gotten a lot of offers from SP after the convention. That said they are extremely generous with in person comps. When checking in you get two coupon books with some very nice coupons no matter where you eat or want to visit. Bar comps are given without any questions unlike many other strip casinos. I think they still give out top shelf drinks if asked. The casino still has one or two $5 BJ tables even on weekends when other places are at $15. And their poker room is just great - 2/4 or no limit always going and frequent tournaments. The buffet is one of the better ones anywhere that doesn't cost $50. And there are enough other restaurants that will satisfy any taste and price range. Don't forget the free shuttle to and from the airport either. There just is not a good reason to stay anywhere else. And don't forget - all of you chip collecting friends will be there! And I almost forgot my main eatery - the $1.25 hot dogs.
