The sidewalk curb on 4th Street is deceptively tall - almost 12 inches. This was done, perhaps, because the street is near the Feather River and is prone to flooding in rain or when the river rises annually. But the first time I visited Casino Marysville was a trip! As in, a face plant on the sidewalk. I was unhurt but quickly learned the Smart People walk a half block down to the alleyway (slanting) and then onto the sidewalk. Looks like someone finally re-paved the sidewalk to become a slanted entry way. Hey, I might even visit Casino Marysville again some day.
