9 Weeks to go!

Today's *Thursday's Millions* will focus on some of my Postcards from my Million Dollar Display Collection.

This is an interesting one..a huge, glossy postcard from the Joe W. Brown Days. Front and back are shown..

Here are a couple of different "See One Million Dollars in Cash" ones..

This next crinkle cut one includes the 'mini display' with description of the MDD, the Horseshoe had this mini display up for only a few years..

A couple other postcards the first is another Joe W. Brown one, followed by a Binion's one..

Same postcard as above, mailed from 'Mama' in El Paso, TX in 1958....

Next are two of my favorites..note the description on the bottom of the first one..meant to look like handwriting " Here we are with a million dollars of actual cash". The second one doesn't have the wording.

As you can see, in the early days of the MDD, it was in the middle of the casino floor. I love the old slot machines..

Next a couple similar variations from the Joe W. Brown era, as you can see the top of the MDD is different in each postcard..

This next postcard, I don't think I have seen another one..with the small brown MDD sign next to it, I haven't even seen another photo with it, let alone a postcard..

A couple of random postcard photos shot at different angles..I guess back then the camera was moved and not in the same stationary position you see most often.

This last one I found interesting.

As far as I know, at the Horseshoe, you had to be 21 years of age to take a photo at the Million Dollar Display. Same rules apply today at that pyramid of money they have at Binion's. Well, I have seen hundreds and hundreds of MDD photo postcards, and this is the only one I have ever seen with children in it. I wonder how the kids were allowed to be in this photo?
