I always thought the “mold” was what was on the rim portion of the chips. The 4th chip in both rows of chips you show display the The chain in the area normally reserved for the inlay. The same with the white chip with inner dots you displayed on a previous post

So, if rim mold marks are located in the center of the chip do they describe the mold or they ahoy stamp substitute and not a mold

Luckily none of this affects me!
