Hopefully I'll remember that the clad are not marked "Sterling" now that I saw yours.
At an auction, I saw a little group of five tokens, I was willing to pay up to $7 each, what I considered collectors value. Maybe I was even high, but fun is fun. Some guy outbid me. I went over and asked if he collected casino tokens or chips? He said, Nope I wanted them for the silver value. I said, I don't think those are silver... Now I'm positive they were just toned silver clad or plated.
Same auction house, same guy bought a box of my old "collectors" glasses from Burger King, McDonald's, Disney World, that kind of group. Probably paid $3 each, by the box @ $35. Church festival later that year he had them all out for a stiff price, each. I didn't see any missing.
I still haunt the auctions during the Winter. Closest I've come is box of poker chips, some catalin, some embossed, maybe a small number engraved mixed in. When it hit $2 a chip I dropped out. One of these days?
