Thanks to all the chippers who showed me the error in my ways in offering to sell my 90% silver dimes for 14c each. Since my objective was to get the value of the silver bullion contained in each dime, I'm adjusting my asking price to $1.24 each delivered in USA . I can sell 10, 25, 100, or 500 dimes at this per/unit price. I'll pay shipping in USA so your cost can be easily figured by multiplying $1.24 by the quantity you want... $12.40, $31, $124, or $620. You can pay by Personal PayPal to don@lueders.us or mail me a check if you are a Club member. My mail address is 10578 SW Tualatin Dr, Tigard, OR 97224. I'll get your coins in the mail the next business day after I receive payment. I'll ship your coins by USPS first class with Tracking.
I do have some emails from collectors indicating the quantity they want. However, since the price will be $1.24 rather than $0.14 I won't try to guess how many (if any) you will want. If David Spragg really wants 20,000 dimes, I'll have to decline his order and see how many real orders I get at the $1.24 price .
I'm sorry for my mix-up in the asking price; I'm also happy to have all the feedback pointing out how ridiculous my low price was and what most dealers ask these days.
If you'd like to read my original post, you will find it at:
http://www.thechipboard.com/index.cgi/md/read/id/1513707/sbj/fs-silver-us-dimes-in-quantity
just remember that the price of each dime is now about $1 more based in the actual troy ounces of silver in each dime. Also remember that you are getting pretty close to new coins since these came from bags I purchased back in 1965.
If you'd like a sample of just one coin to see what these look like, send me $1.30 and I'll send your dime postpaid as long as you are in the USA.
By the way, I also have half-dollar coins that have 40% silver content. I'll wait to see how the sale of the silver dimes goes before coming up with a selling price. It will be based on the value of the silver in each coin in any case.
