One of my racks tipped over last night and I was playing "52 pickup" with the chips. One of them, purple in color, H&C mold, has the same sticker, CASINO $10 LME, on one side. The other side has one of those typical gold hot-stamped wheel or star-shaped cancellations. Curious about what words were hidden by it, I got out my magnifying glass, squinted and grumbled, turned the chip upside and down, and finally figured it out: COMSTOCK/ A in center / ROULETTE. ChipGuide CG 174967 TCR V8345 for those out there who live by numerical data.
If the LME was a movie prop, it looks like the Prop Director got hold of a variety of chips without worrying about their origin and then had the Prop Assistant apply stickers to them all. A Director would never want to get himself all sticky with gummed labels. I can supply a photo if anyone wishes to see it.
