As I remember from my trip there, the place was hard to find, on a back a$$ country road, with anti casino signs still up all over the place. One dealer was a couldn't care less sourpuss who was hating life getting stuck dealing in the middle of nowhere.
One nice young kid dealer who was quite pleasant, as they hadn't beat it out of him yet.
Somebody at Penn showed they had their head up... dropping this place in the middle of run down farm land in Hicksville. Had they put in a place 1/4 of the size and 1/2 "The Ritz", then it might have made a go of it, then build the casino like this with profits. IMHO the Indians screwed Penn royally, (well, talked them into screwing themselves) just like Trump got his a$$ handed to him on the Spotlight 29 deal.
It may be the closest to San Diego Downtown, but the drive is easier/more pleasant to other places. If you're going out for an evening, not where you want to be. If you just want to drop $100 quickly to scratch an itch, then go to Ya-Mule (Jamul)
