A campaign chip seems to fall under any politicsl item such as pin, mug or poster... Though I wonder if it has to be an "official" political item. If not, then I would wonder why a "political chip" (Vote Trump) would not be considered a political item. Unless, as with coins/tokens, those items would have to be part of a coinage... by a government. Sounds like a nice thought where a chip (as we know a "chip" to be) would somehow fit under a political item and be protected.
