If you look at most everything from there on ChipGuide, you will see where old Euro pearls were reground in the central field in order to machine new graphics. Looking even closer you can see remnants of old graphics (F) and original serial numbers. Some of the original, larger plaques were cut and shaped into three new and smaller plaques.
