You are indeed lucky. At my post office, incoming mail is generally held for an extra day. I have a P.O. Box, and they have sent checks back (return to sender, no forwarding address) and have rejected packages (saying the box was inaccessible). And while they reject my mail, I receive mail intended for tenants that "moved out" of that box before May 2013.

Two months after I paid my 6-month rent, they sent a warning that my rent would expire at the end of the month and all my mail would be rejected if I did not renew by January 31st.

When I complain - which I do in writing - I have not received the courtesy of a response.

I have started transitioning to other arrangements.
